Solids

We've been introducing solids for about a week and a half (various pureed fruit and veg...ugh). In summary, Lucy loved it from the very first spoon, Ronan clamped his lips shut and hasn't opened them since. So I have two babies crying in my ear at the same time...I'm not feeding one fast enough and the other just wants to go and play. Grrr. And what a mess! Clever ideas on how to contain it (other than feeding them naked in the garden) would be very welcome.

  1. I am soooo glad those days are over for us! Considering Ellen pretty much ate almost nothing until she was almost 2, most of the food wound up everywhere. Her hair and ears were frequent targets! I think we started nightly baths right around when we started solids.
    Send some pics :-)

  2. ah, solids.
You know, pretty soon after you start putting solids in, you start to see solids come out too. Think of this as yet another transition...

  3. Daša: Ha, ha, ha, today they told me the price for Kevins kindergarten food and it comes up to like 1,50 Euro per day, while other mothers were calculating the high price in their heads, I was celebrating, he probably eats like 10 Euro worth every day and spills and spoils like another 10 while enjoying the first half : ) Ciara, you should thank god, that you do not have to hungry babies, as this all is only gonna end up costing more and more : )
